24 badminton players secured their medals, Mighty Aggies declared as King and Queen of Badminton court
Nine teams from nine colleges fought for the title and golden medals in Badminton during the 57th University Intramurals which happened last October 12 to 14 at CLSU Institute of Sports, Physical Education And Recreation (ISPEAR).
After the blazing battle, six badminton players from Unit II College of Agriculture (CAg) Mighty Aggies grabbed their 2 gold medals in Women's Doubles category, 1 silver medal for Men's Single category, 1 silver Medal in Women's Single category, and 2 bronze medals in Men's Doubles category, in total of 6 medals and seat in a place as a Badminton Team Champion.
Following the second lead in badminton, 4 players from Unit III College of Engineering (CEn) Raging Dragons got their 2 gold medals in Men's Double category, 1 bronze medal for Men's Single category, and 1 bronze medal for Women's Single category which lead to them as 1st runner up in Badminton.
On the other hand, Unit I College of Education (CEd) Golden Fighting Lynx place as a 2nd runner up for having 1 gold medal in Women's Single category, 2 silver medal in Men's Doubles category, and 2 silver medal in Women's Double category.
Unit IV College of Veterinary of Science and Medicine (CVSM) Unbreakable Antlers secured their spot as 3rd runner up for having 1 gold medal in Men's Single category, and 2 bronze medals in Women's Doubles category.
However, Unit VI College of Business Administration and Accountancy (CBAA) Blue Chips found their spot as 4th runner up in Badminton for having 1 bronze medal in Women's Single category, and 2 bronze in Men's Doubles category.
Unit IV College of Science (CoS) Fearless eagles got their place as 5th runner up for having 2 bronze medals in Women's Double category, while Unit VII College of Fisheries (CF) Red Spines secured their spot as 6th runner up for having 1 bronze medal in Men's Single Category.
Meanwhile, the Unit V College of Arts and Social Sciences (CASS) Flaming Cheetahs and Unit VIII College of Home Science and Industry (CHSI) Blazing Phoenix failed to get a place and medal in sports of Badminton.
The Mighty Aggies marked their title with pride inside the court and made history in Badminton.
